Anti-Imperialist Struggle Committee Bulletin No. 12 – We Share the Hunger, We Share the Resistance!

To grow the resistance, we as Anti-Imperialist Struggle Committee, were in 4 day hunger strike to be in solidarity with Eda Deniz Haydaroglu.

On 18th of March, the Day of Political Prisoners, Eda Deniz Haydaroglu, a member of Revolutionary Youth Europe, started her indefinite hungerstrike. The utmost demand is the end of pre-trial detention (which has lasted nearly a year) of Özgül Emre, Ihsan Cibelik, Serkan Küpeli and Hasan Unutan. There is no judicial ground to legitimatize such a misuse of law, German State wants to punish revolutionaries and their friends without having to deal with judicial functions of a bourgeoise government. But the other five demands are also extremely important; they cover almost every aspect of the legal farce we are currently experiencing;

Facebook posts and digital evidence should not and can not be used as criminal evidence!

How is it possible that without the hash value of a digital object, it can be count as an evidence? In Germany, there is no law governing the authenticity of a digital evidence! But even this question is arbitrary in our eyes; how is it possible that a digital object(?) can even be an evidence? The nature of “digital” is open to modification and misuage by police and intelligence services even with hash value and other authentication methods. The recent case of Nuriye Gülmen is a proof of such injustice.

Germany’s Federal Prosecutor Peter Frank Should Explain Why He Met with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of Turkey and murderer of thousands of people!

A modern bourgeois state builds itself upon the illusion of separation of powers. The division of the legislative, executive, and judicial functions of government among separate and independent bodies. Yet, a member of judicial function of a country can visit and take prizes from a member of another country’s legislative function! It seems to be case that separation of powers only applies to the inner workings of a country! Even we assume such a interesting(!) functionality, we will going to see in the further demands that, German State does not care about separation of powers when it comes to antifascists, socialists and anarchists within its state.

Accept the demands of Italian Anarchist Militant Alfredo Cospito, who is on indefinite hunger strike resistance against isolation!

Italian State, a member of EU and G8 gang, exercises one of the most notorious isolation regime in the whole world. Known as 41bis regime, prisoners are left to silent death sentence, but in European way; without blood and driving you crazy. Alfredo’s resistance already shed a light on this issue and expose 41bis regime to the broader Italian society and to European public. His demands are our demands, isolation is one of most inhumane forms of torture.

Abolish §129, §129a, §129b, abolish all anti-terror laws!

Interior ministry of Germany, a member of the legislative power, have the authority to decide who should be tried with §129 and can dictate it to the judicial power. This is a concept of police state that is just a bit more elaborated and ‘clean’ than open fascism of the last century. In Germany, every year antifascists wake up with police raids and face accusations like “beating up Nazis”. Anti-terror laws of every imperialist state and it’s neo-colonies are nothing more than the crude anti-communism of the post WW2 world.

Immediate release of all anti-fascist and revolutionary prisoners!

Fighting against fascism and imperialism is not a crime but a duty of every human being.

These are not just Eda Deniz Haydaroglu’s demands but also our committee’s demands. Hungerstrike is a form of resistance that does not speak to non-existing conscience of ruling class. It is not a begging for them to take actions against their own injustices. It is a call to everyone, who are assumed to have a common ethical ground. Eda Deniz Haydaroglu’s call is to everyone who thinks that:

  • Anti-fascism: Fighting against fascism is not a choice but a must.
  • Anti-Capitalism: Capitalism must be overcome in order to achieve human emancipation.
  • Anti-Imperialism: Without the destruction of Imperialism, there is no possibility for a peaceful world.
