As one of the main goals of the prison is to depersonalize and dehumanize the inmates , it is very important that we take action, break the isolation and bring the outside world in the prison cells by writting personal letters to the prisoners. The more personal, the better: handwriting, pictures, stories, jokes etc. are all part of what feeds a person’s mind with creativity, in a place where the intention is to deprive all of the joy of being a human from one’s mind.
Additionally, we provide a platform where you can send your voice inside the prison cells. With this digital ”letter-sending” mechanism, you can fill the contact form with your letter, and we take care to translate it to the target language from German, English, Italian, Greek or Spanish, and deliver it to the prison. If you wish, you could also provide us an e-mail address, where we could send you back the replies of the prisoners with translation.
